HOW OUR TRADE-IN PROCESS WORKS

Our trade in the process is very simple. We will run you through it step-by-step here.

1. Book an appointment with us. You can do this by emailing us here or calling us (561) 750-6744.

Our showroom is open. We are taking one-on-one appointments with customers who are interested in trade-ins and other services we offer. So call us to book a private appointment.

You can choose to visit Diamonds By Raymond Lee or Raymond Lee Jewelers for your trade in appointment, whichever is more convenient for you. Just let us know which location you prefer when calling or emailing us to book your appointment.

We may ask you some questions regarding the jewelry or watch that you want to trade. See further below for items we are interested in.

**Outdoor appointments**

Alternatively, we can handle appointments just outside of our showroom doors. We have set up comfortable seating so we can evaluate your piece and show you jewelry and watches of interest in an open setting.

Note: Please let us know what kind of jewelry and watches you are interested in when booking your appointment, that way we can prepare a selection that meets your interest parameters.

2. Meet us at the designated time. Bring the jewelry and/or watches that you want to trade-in. Also, bring any original documents and box.

We will be waiting for you at the designated time, so please arrive punctually.

The first thing we will do is evaluate your jewelry or watch. You will be meeting with an expert in luxury watches and jewelry. Our staff are certified gemologists so they will be able to value your gemstones and diamonds as well.

Note: Be sure to bring any original documents and the original box if you have them. This will speed up the process and help you land a higher trade-in price.

After we evaluate your jewelry or watch, we will make a trade-in offer for you.

3. Browse our collection of fine jewelry and luxury watches

You will be able to look over jewelry and watches of interest. Any questions you have about the new item will be answered thoroughly by our staff. You can take the time needed to mull over the items at hand and whether or not you want to make the trade.

If the pre-selected jewelry or watches are not to your desire, we will discuss what you are looking for then produce more options for you to choose from. If you decide to do the appointment inside our showroom doors, you can browse our entire collection. Our staff will point you in the right direction based on your interests.

We offer a completely pressure-free environment, so if you don’t want to go through with the trade, no worries at all.

4. Finalize the Trade-In

If you decide to go through with the trade-in, we will provide documentation and receipts. Any item you trade will be given to you in its original box or a new Diamonds By Raymond Lee case (depending on if the item has an original box). We will also hand over all the original documents for the piece you are trading in.

For those who are trading up, there may be some additional money that needs to be paid – for example, if you get a trade-in price of $2,000 and the item you want is $2,500, you will need to pay the remaining $500.

For those who are trading down, we will pay you the remaining amount in cash – so, if you get a trade-in price of $2,000 and the item you want is $1,500, you will receive $500 and the new item!

5. Enjoy your new watch or jewelry!

Now that you own the item you traded in for, so do with it as you please. Wear it with pride and show it off to all your friends and family, and on social. Be sure to tag us @diamondsbyraymondlee if you do!

We examine each piece based on a variety of factors. We will look at its quality, condition, material, workmanship, and any other special attributes (i.e. signatures) that may increase its value. The item’s age and brand will also play a role in how we value it.

Market value is another important factor. If you have a highly sought after piece, it’s going to land you a very nice premium.

Everything we base the value of your item on will be clearly explained to you during the meeting. That way you fully understand how we came to our offer.

Of course, famous designer brands with signatures will also land you a premium as these kinds of pieces retain value well.

We may accept broken jewelry and watches that need repair as we have jewelry makers and watch repair specialist in-house who can fix and repair these items. So, if you have broken jewelry or luxury watches that need repair, please don’t hesitate to reach out about a trade-in. You may be able to get a decent price for an item that no longer has value to you because it’s broken.
