TACORI HISTORY & STORY
In 1969, Haig Tacorian and his wife Gilda left Europe to start a new life in the United States. The couple settled in Los Angeles, sharing both the California Dream and a strong passion for jewelry. With the help of his wife, Haig spent his early years in America importing pearls and jewelry from Hong Kong. He was a jewelry salesman traversing a market that was absolutely starving for pearls.
Over time, his and Gilda’s devotion for crafting their own jewelry grew and they wanted to do something more grandeur, more original. And so, Haig increased the scope of his business, focusing on diamonds and trademark designs. This is when Tacori was born.
Tacori was founded in the heart of LA’s Jewelry District, where it remains to this day. Haig and Gilda Tacorian have spent decades building an extraordinary brand presence that spreads across the world. Thanks to their European panache and natural sense of fashion, Tacori has a peerless reputation for creating exquisite heirloom-quality engagement rings and everyday jewelry indicative of The Golden State and true love.
As a family-owned business, Tacori is a breath of fresh air among many of the corporate giants in the jewelry industry. It has been 50 years since Tacori’s inception and Haig and Gilda’s passion and dedication for creating high-quality, luxury jewelry has not wavered. They now share this love of jewelry with their kids. Haig is currently the company’s CEO, while his son Paul is President of Sales and Marketing and his daughter Nadine is the President of Design and Operations.
WHAT IS TACORI KNOWN FOR?
Tacori is best known for bridal jewelry and engagement rings, as well as stackable rings, eternity rings, and wedding bands. Their handcrafted designs have been a major influencer in the bridal jewelry market, setting the tone for contemporary jewelry and engagement ring designs around the globe.
Tacori’s signature is their crescent design, also known as the Tacori Touch. It is a silhouette that creates an artistic half-moon pattern, providing windows of light to beam off the brilliance of the diamonds placed within each interlocking crescent, half-circle arcs.
Their signature design is copyrighted and also fervently protected by Tacori, as many independent and even large scale jewelry designers try to copy the look. Nevertheless, the crescent design is very difficult to replicate. Thus, the perfection and meticulousness Tacori provides is a clear stamp of authenticity.
Tacori approaches jewelry as the purest form of art and the highest level of science.
Their distinctive contemporary European flair combined with inspiration pulled from stunning California landscapes makes Tacori rings and jewelry instantly recognizable.
What’s more, their collections offer a wide range of exquisite styles. From simple and elegant to intricate and vintage-inspired, Tacori has dream jewelry and rings for any modern, sophisticated woman.
HOW ARE TACORI RINGS MADE?
Every Tacori piece is unique and receives numerous hours of attention from expert artisans. With the end result always being bridal jewelry that provides the wearer with effortless style and beauty. Moreover, their rings shine with brilliance that is best compared to a California sunset.
Here is a simple breakdown of Tacori’s process for creating diamond rings:
So, the process begins with Tacori’s head designer making a sketch. Then, the sketch is converted into a 3D model using a CAD (computer aided design) program. From there, they use the CAD image to create a mold so the casting processes can begin. Tacori employs special firing techniques to cast the design in precious metal. Afterward, a Tacori goldsmith perfects the piece with their signature crescent detailing and other Tacori touches.
When the structure of the ring is complete, the next step involves an expert gemologist and gem-setter hand-selecting perfect natural gemstones for the ring. The gemstones are chosen in a way that best matches the ring’s shape, color, clarity and proportions. Then, each stone is hand-set into the ring. The final step entails a meticulous polishing and finishing process that ensures lifetime beauty and eye-catching luster.
No two designs are the same…but one thing every Tacori ring shares in common is absolutely flawless integrity and originality.
All in all, Tacori’s scrupulous creation process is very impressive and a big factor for the brand’s perennial popularity and success.

TACORI ENGAGEMENT RING COLLECTIONS: SETTINGS, PRECIOUS METAL & GEMSTONES
Tacori is famed for unique and breathtaking ring designs that imbue California’s natural beauty, Europe’s old warm charm, and modern women’s sensibility. They have an extensive yet carefully crafted collection of rings, all of which have a special hallmark setting.
Tacori offers three main crown options: Solitaire, Solitaire Bloom, and Three-Stone.
Note: Solitaire Bloom is Tacori’s trademark name for “halo” rings.
TACORI RING SETTINGS
With each crown option comes distinct settings that truly set Tacori apart. We will now run you through Tacori’s recherché collection of engagement ring settings.
Classic Crescent
For those who love a classic engagement ring style with a unique vintage-esque look, the Classic Crescent collection has it all. It features Tacori’s iconic signature crescent design. This provides gorgeous detailing along the band with windows of light between interlocking half-moon arches filled with small diamonds. Every ring in this collection also has a single signature crescent at the base of its foundation. A mark to let you know its Tacori, just like an artist would do to a piece of art.
Petite Crescent
The Petite Crescent collection is a refined, more petite version of the Classic Crescent. It is one of Tacori’s most popular collections. Petite Crescent rings are elegantly modern yet they have a wonderful vintage appeal. For those who love pure femininity, unparalleled shine, and gorgeously soft designs, the Petite Crescent collection is for you. It also has the Tacori Touch with a small signature crescent near the base of the ring.
RoyalT
The RoyalT collection is one of Tacori’s newer designs. It takes a less metal, more diamond approach, offering an intense, yet classic look. Within the RoyalT collection, you have solitaires, solitaire blooms, and three stone rings, some of which have sapphires as side stones.
Dantela
Dantela is Tacori’s Lacey, heirloom-worthy collection. Each ring is as alluring and timeless as the next. The most popular Dantela rings feature the Tacori bloom, giving the rings an extra hint of sparkle while also enhancing the size of the center diamond.
Simply Tacori
Simply Tacori rings are elegant, graceful and sophisticated. They feature a modern design element on the inner face of the ring as well as Tacori’s signature crescent at the base. For modern women who love a simple, classic style, Simply Tacori will surely catch your eyes in a powerful way.
Clean Crescent
The Clean Crescent collection is exactly how it sounds, a cleaner, more diamond focused design. They streamlined the detailing, creating a smaller crescent design. So, if you like a more minimal look, Clean Crescent has your name on it.
Coastal Crescent
The Coastal Crescent collection is new, with only three designs. Yet, the rings have the ability to use any diamond shape. Moreover, you can have the classic 360 solitaire or the iconic Tacori Bloom. No three-stone option is available for this one.
Crescent Chandelier
The name Crescent Chandelier is ultra fitting for this collection. At the ceiling of the ring, you will see a brand new design that provides windows of light that double the appearance of the bloom. We expect this to be one of the most iconic looks of the current Tacori era.
Reverse Crescent
The Reverse Crescent collection uses a design that is inverse to the Classic Crescent. It has a very open look and feel to it, which gives the Reverse Crescent its own unique and timeless appeal.
Sculpted Crescent
The Sculpted Crescent collection has an inner face that is sculpted without windows and diamonds, yet it still creates the highly sought after crescent look. What’s more, on the underside of the band, it uses a milgrain detailing for a distinctive touch. Furthermore, Sculpted Crescent rings have Tacori’s signature crescent at the base, which does include a single diamond and an open window.
Within each collection, you will find unique bands with various structures and diamonds settings, as well as plain bands for those who like a simple and clean look.
Note: All of the collections contain rings with Tacori’s three crown options (unless noted otherwise) – Solitaire, Solitaire Bloom, and Three-Stone. Moreover, they all have the signature crescent at the base of the ring. After all, it is the iconic Tacori Touch.
TACORI METALS
Tacori uses 18K white, yellow, and rose gold, as well as platinum for their engagement ring designs. 18K provides the perfect balance of durability and purity. It’s 75 percent gold content, and 100% everyday wearable. Therefore, a Tacori ring is made to last forever.
TACORI DIAMONDS
Tacori has a strict diamond criteria that only allows the most impeccable diamond cuts to find their way into a Tacori engagement ring. Less than 5% of diamonds are considered to be Tacori-worthy according to their diamond experts and stringent processes.
Generally, Tacori diamonds are G color and VS clarity, which means they are very high grade.
What’s more, all of Tacori’s diamonds are ethically sourced, so you can have the peace of mind knowing your ring is conflict-free.
GEMSTONES
White diamonds are not the only gemstones that Tacori implements into their designs. They employ blue sapphires, pink sapphires, emeralds, rubies and even black diamonds.
All Tacori Engagement Rings come with a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certificate, which will tell you everything you need to know about the diamond at hand.
TACORI QUALITY
Tacori rings are of the highest quality. Their platinum rings are 95% platinum and 5% iridium, granting a more shinier, tougher, long-lasting appearance than most other rings in the market. They hold their luster everlastingly through everyday wear and tear.
This is why they cost 2 to 3 times the price of mass-produced engagement ring settings.
TACORI ENGAGEMENT RING PRICES
Tacori rings are handcrafted by artisans in California and they only use the highest quality of materials, so their prices reflect that. However, they have something for everyone’s budget. Their engagement rings range from $1,300 to $26,000. Pricing will depend on the precious metal and diamond you choose.
